6-Months-Old

 

Weight: 18 pounds (roughly)

Height: 28 inches (Same as last month which means (1) I was WAY off last month or (2) he hasn't grown in a month?!?! He goes to the doctor next week for a check-up so we'll get some accurate results!)

 

Likes: He likes carrots and sweet potatoes.  He loves to give and receive kisses. He loves his feet! He loves to talk! In fact, he does most of it when he is alone in his crib. I guess it is his way of entertaining himself or maybe he is talking about how silly his parents are. :-) He loves to play peek-a-boo; He likes to put a blanket over his face and have someone move it off. He loves his mobile that is attached to his crib. He has figured out how to kick it or hit it to turn it on. Sometimes I think he is talking to the animals on his mobile.

Dislikes: Loud jets! We were on a walk and there was an airshow on post. The Blue Angels were performing and flying really low. One flew by, followed by the loud engine and his poor lip was out and he was upset!

New Developments: He is talking with new vowel sounds. He is shrieking a lot louder. He enjoys drinking water from straws and cups. (Not so much from sippy cups, yet.) He has figured out how to pull his socks off. He can "throw" his ball. He can sit-up on his own for a little bit, but will teeter one way or lean forward. So, it should be really soon. :-)
