Chase had a wonderful first birthday party. The theme was The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle. It couldn't be more perfect for Chase because he loves to eat! It was a very warm day (90 degrees) for an early day in May. We had his party at Jackson City Park. It is such a beautiful place and it was the perfect location. We had lots of family and friends come celebrate with us which was a gift itself.
The kids played on the equipment, went for rides in their wagons around Safety City, fished in the lake, and blew bubbles. Everyone enjoyed the snacks, pizza, cupcakes, and take home party favors. Chase seemed to like pizza for the first time. He didn't eat much, but I think he was distracted. It took him a minute to "dig in" to the cake. But, once he did he seemed to enjoy it. Then he started throwing in all over the place!
Everyone had a great time and Chase enjoyed everyone's company and extra attention.
