We took our first (as a family of three) trip to Bennett Springs, MO. Gram, Pa, Uncle JB, Aunt Diana, Chuck, and Kim were all there too, so that made this trip even better! We all had cabins next to each other so that made it easier to hang out. The boys fished a lot more than the girls. They would start early in the morning (except for Spencer) and fish until around 9 or so. Then go back down after a quick nap (or not) and breakfast. They'd come back to the cabin, eat lunch, nap again (or not) and fish through the evening.
Chase got to make several trips down to the springs to watch everyone fish. He got to witness daddy actually catch a fish on one trip and he got to put his feet and hands in the ice cold water! We went on walks, swung on the swings, and enjoyed being outdoors as much as possible. In the evenings we would all gather in someone's cabin and just visit. One night we grilled outdoors and ended the evening with roasting marshmallows and making s'mores! We had a great time and now our freezers are stocked with trout!
Yay! So sad we had to miss it but it looks like you guys had a good time. Chase is so cute... wish we could all be around more often!
